However, while for the latter you mordant the fabric and then you put it into a decoction of plants or into a bath of dyeing extracts, in the eco-printing process dye plants (as well as plants that are not traditionally used for dyeing) are directly applied to the fabric that you want to dye or print.<\/span><br><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">During this workshop, you are going to experiment with printing, mostly using leaves that you are going to pick yourself during the first day of class.<\/span><br><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">You are going to learn how to prepare fabrics for printing, how to work with cold mordanting and how to apply a base color using extracts and decoctions.<\/span><\/p><br><br><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><b>For more information about the instructor<\/b>: <\/span><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/lalazoo.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Laura Dell&#8217;Erba<\/span><\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><b>Date<\/b>: Friday, November 18th, Saturday, November 19th, &#038; Sunday, November 20th, 2016 (duration: 3 days)<\/span><br><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><b>Time<\/b>: from 9.30 to 16.30, including lunch and coffee breaks<\/span><br><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><b>Location<\/b>: DHG, Via Panconi 15\/17 &#8211; 59100 Prato<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><b>Number of Participants<\/b>: max. 14 (minimum 5)<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><b>Language<\/b>: Italian.
