And this is probably the best moment for us to present it to you. <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Indeed, since a few weeks we have gone into GREEN mode. Of course, we have always been very sensitive to environmental issues, but since June 5th (<\/span><b><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Earth Day<\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">) we have started a series of initiatives and special offers which will continue through July. For example, our ecoprint tutorials (<\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dhgshop.performize.io\/blog\/articolo-stampa-vegetale-con-laura-dellerba_178.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">vegetable printing<\/span><\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">) made for DHG by <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dhgshop.performize.io\/blog\/articolo-ecoprint-laura-dellerba_209.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Laura Dell&#8217;Erba<\/span><\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">So, we are currently taking some time to think about good practices and eco-friendly products. We are therefore very happy to welcome our new Sari Silk Waste to our collection.<\/span><\/p><br><br><h2 style=\"text-align: center; \">Sari Silk Waste: an eco-friendly product<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Sari Silk Waste, as the name itself suggests, is a byproduct of silk processing (especially of silk used for the traditional Indian Sari). So it is a <\/span><b><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">recycled <\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">material, which is repurposed instead of being discarded and disposed of as textile waste<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">.<\/span><\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dhgshop.performize.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/cascami-di-seta-sari-ecofriendly-e-oek-tex.jpg\" style=\"width: 100%;\"><br><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">What\u2019s more, the Silk Waste in our collection is <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dhgshop.performize.io\/blog\/articolo-ecologia-umana-la-certificazione-oeko-tex_330.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Oeko-Tex<\/span><\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"> certified.<\/span><br><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">This made is possible by the fact that we buy raw, undyed waste, and then dye it in our plants in Italy.<\/span><br><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">This way, we can:<\/span><\/p><ol><li><b><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">use safe, certified dye <\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">that has no environmental impact (also thanks to the water purification systems in our plants) and is not harmful for people (which is not always the case when the waste is imported already dyed) <\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">give you color-fast, <\/span><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">lasting dyes<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"> matching the colors of the fabrics in our collection. As we always say: eco-friendliness does not mean low quality. All you need to do is use the right products!<\/span><\/li><\/ol><br><br><p><a href=\"https:\/\/dhgshop.performize.io\/item-fibers-effect-fibres-sari-silk-waste_0_0_1_3_202.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Our Sari Silk Waste<\/span><\/strong><\/a><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"> is not only beautiful and safe, it\u2019s also very versatile. It can be included in <\/span><b><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">handfelting projects<\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">, in order to create shiny effects, and give more character to the texture of your pieces.
