Meanwhile others, caught up in the busy daily grind, will still be looking for easy but super cute ideas for a quick solution to the annual dilemma: how to decorate the Christmas tree? You\u2019ve got the answer at your fingertips. Read on and I\u2019ll explain.<\/span><\/p>

For a last minute Christmas tree, we asked a real whiz at crafty for help, in other words, Gaia Segattini, best known on the web as \u2018Vendetta Uncinetta\u2019. Gaia is an expert at crochet, knitting and she is also a firm believer in handmade eco-friendly items, recycling and good ideas that more often than not count more than material itself. She\u2019s also the Art Director of the WeeKenDoIt manifestation, those that involve handicraft and small businesses. Her blog is extremely popular and definitely worth reading. Not only can you find crochet tutorials but also articles about a women\u2019s world, the sustainability of a certain handicraft and a whole lot more.<\/span><\/p>

For us she\u2019s put the hook and ball of yarn to one side for a moment and equipped herself with scissors and needles to do 3 easy as pie tutorials. The flower, <\/span>the bow<\/span><\/strong><\/a> and <\/span>the wreath<\/span><\/strong><\/a> that will add that timeless simply chic touch to your Christmas. Gaia has chosen our thermoformable felt for all the decorations. Let\u2019s start with the flower.<\/span><\/p>

Tutorial: how to make the Vendetta Uncinetta’s felt flower<\/h2>

MATERIALS<\/span>
<\/strong>Thermoformable felt<\/b> 2mm (<\/span>by the meter<\/span><\/a><\/strong> or already in <\/span>10cm ribbons<\/span><\/a><\/strong>)<\/span>
Deluxe Faux leather ribbon 1 cm wide<\/span><\/strong><\/a>
Fabric scissors<\/span>
Needle and thread<\/span>
Pins<\/span>
Tape measure<\/span>
<\/p>

How to make the felt flower<\/h2>

Cut 10\/12 cm wide 1 metre long strips from the felt or cut the ribbon felt 10cm into 1m strips directly.<\/span>
Roll up each strip tightly from one end.<\/span><\/p>


<\/p>

Keep rolling until the ribbon rolls by itself. Then fold it in half.<\/span><\/p>


<\/p>

Following the movement of the ribbon, make a spiral in the shape of a rose, secure it with some pins.<\/span><\/p>


<\/p>

With coloured thread sew the rose so that the ribbon doesn\u2019t unravel.<\/span><\/p>


<\/p>

Using another piece of ribbon or leftover felt, cut out 2 leaves of a different colour.<\/span><\/p>


<\/p>

Place the rose on top of the two leaves as in the photo and sew them together to ensure they don\u2019t separate.<\/span><\/p>


<\/p>

Now sew a piece of leather ribbon behind the flower, to be able to hang it on your Christmas tree or somewhere you like best.<\/span><\/p>


<\/p>

And there you have it, a felt flower for your tree in just a few steps.<\/span><\/p>
