In this tutorial we\u2019re going to explain in detail, step by step how to make a crochet swimsuit. As a backdrop in the wonderful setting of Cinque Terre are the fantastic sandals by Lanapo.<\/span><\/p>

How to make a swimsuit<\/h2>

METHOD<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

Part 1: the briefs<\/h2>

Front<\/span><\/strong>
Cast on a chain of 13 stitches.<\/span>
Round <\/b>1<\/b>: start from the 5th chain stitch from the starting end and double crochet 9 for a total of 10 stitches.<\/span>
round <\/b>2<\/span><\/b> until the <\/b><\/span>round 8<\/b>: double crochet<\/span>
round <\/b>9<\/span><\/b>: double crochet increasing 1 stitch at the beginning and at the end of the round to obtain 12 stitches<\/span>
round <\/b>10<\/span><\/b>: double crochet<\/span>
round <\/b>11<\/span><\/b>: repeat the<\/span> round 9 to obtain 14 stitches<\/span>
round <\/b>12<\/span><\/b>: double crochet<\/span>
round <\/b>13<\/span><\/b>: repeat the <\/span>round 9 to obtain 16 stitches<\/span>
round <\/b>14<\/span><\/b> until the <\/span>round 28<\/b>: repeat as the <\/span>round 9 until you have 46 stitches<\/span><\/p>

Back<\/h3>

Work 2 rounds of double crochet at the start of the initial chain of the back of the briefs<\/span>
Round <\/b>3<\/span><\/b>: double crochet increasing 2 stitches at the beginning and the end of the round to obtain 14 stitches<\/span>
round <\/b>4<\/span><\/b> <\/b>until the <\/span>round 12<\/b>: repeat the <\/span>round 3 to obtain 50 stitches<\/span>
round <\/b>13<\/span><\/b>: double crochet increase 1stitch at the beginning and at the end of the round<\/span>
round <\/b>14<\/span><\/b>: repeat the <\/span>round 13 until you have 76 stitches, place a stitch marker after 10 stitches from the start of the last round and at 10 stitches before the same round.<\/span>
Join up the front and the back with a slip stitch.<\/span>

Part 2: the top<\/h2>

Front<\/span><\/strong>
Double crochet starting from the 1st stitch marker until you get to the 2nd one for a total of 66 stitches<\/span><\/p>

Double crochet for 28 rounds.<\/span>
Round <\/b>29<\/b>: 3 chain stitches, double crochet 2 together, double crochet 6 together, double crochet 60, 2 together, double crochet 1<\/span>
round <\/b>30<\/span><\/b>: repeat the <\/span>round 29, double crochet 2 together at the sides for a total of 58 stitches<\/span>
round <\/b>31<\/span><\/b>: continuing decreasing the sides until you have a total of 54 stitches<\/span>
At this point work the parts separately as follows:<\/span>

Round <\/b>1<\/span><\/b>: double crochet 19 starting from the hip<\/span>
round <\/b>2<\/span><\/b>: chain stitch 3, double crochet 2 together, double crochet 16<\/span>
round <\/b>3<\/span><\/b>: crochet as the stitches appear<\/span>
round <\/b>4<\/span><\/b> until the <\/span>round 22<\/b>: alternate the <\/span>round 2 and 3 repetitively so you\u2019re left with 7 stitches<\/span>
round <\/b>24<\/span><\/b>: chain stitch 3, double crochet 2 together, double crochet 4<\/span>
round <\/b>25<\/span><\/b>: chain stitch 3, double crochet 2, double crochet 2 together, double crochet 1<\/span>
round <\/b>26<\/span><\/b>: chain stitch 3, double crochet 2 together, double crochet 1<\/span>
round <\/b>27<\/span><\/b>: chain stitch 3, double crochet 2 together, double crochet 2<\/span>

Finishing<\/span><\/strong>
Neckline<\/span><\/strong>: Starting from the round, double crochet 1, chain stitch 1 in each arch; carry on working in this way for the back scoop too. In the stitches work a double crochet, a chain stitch, a double crochet, a chain stitch, a double crochet and a chain stitch.<\/span>
Finish off with the shrimp stitch.<\/span><\/p>

Shaping of the legs:<\/span><\/strong>
Round <\/b>1<\/b>: double crochet 1 in each arch alternating with 1 chain stitch.<\/span>
round <\/b>2<\/span><\/b>: double crochet 2, chain stitch 2, double crochet 2 in the same arch, single crochet 1 in the following arch, repeat for the whole round.<\/span>
