Practical, colourful and with so many pockets you can bring it with you everywhere whilst keeping all your <\/span>needles<\/span><\/a><\/strong> organized! Let\u2019s get started.<\/span><\/p>

Tutorial: how to make a knitting needle case<\/h2>

MATERIALS<\/span><\/strong>
1m of <\/span>Deluxe Faux Leather col. Powder<\/span><\/strong><\/a>
5m of <\/span>Deluxe Faux Leather Ribbon<\/span><\/strong><\/a> col. Honolulu 2.5cm<\/span>
20cm of pvc<\/span>
Coloured thread (2 colours)<\/span>
Fabric scissors<\/span>
Tailors\u2019 scissors<\/span>
Set square<\/span>
Pencil<\/span>
Pattern paper<\/span>
Fabric glue<\/span><\/p>

METHOD
<\/span><\/b>First of all, let\u2019s draw the pattern of our needle case by creating a 39x70cm rectangle and we\u2019ll mark the positions of the panels inside:<\/span><\/p>

– 1case, made up of 2 35×7 cm rectangles, with small tucks on the corners;<\/span>
– 1 knitting needle holder, Deluxe Faux Leather col. Powder 16×30 cm rectangle;<\/span>
– 1 needle holder, 16×16 cm pvc square;<\/span>
– 1 circular needle holder, 10 x 16 cm PVC rectangle<\/span><\/p>Cut out the two 39×70 cm rectangles: one will be the base on which we\u2019ll put all the pockets on and the other, the external cover of the Powder Deluxe Faux Leather knitting needle case.<\/span>


Then cut the two pieces out that are going to create our Powder Deluxe Faux Leather case by sewing the two tucks on each side.<\/span>
<\/p>

<\/p>Now let\u2019s sew the two matching zips, leaving the opening in the middle as shown in the pictures.<\/span>

<\/p>Finish off the end of the zip with a small fabric cutting that we\u2019ll then trim by cutting off the excess zip.<\/span>

<\/p>

From the front side of the fabric we\u2019re going to stitch all the way around the zip using the appropriate foot.<\/span><\/p>

<\/p>

Finally let\u2019s sew the case onto the base that was cut previously, leaving a side margin of 6cm while above and below we\u2019re going to leave about 2cm.<\/span><\/p>

<\/p>

Now let\u2019s prepare the pocket for the knitting needles by cutting a 16×30 cm rectangle out of Deluxe Faux Leather col. Powder and hem it at the top with Deluxe Faux Leather Ribbon col. Honolulu.<\/span><\/p>

Then place it at a distance of a few centimetres away from the case, keeping a straight bottom margin of about 2cm.<\/span>
Now we\u2019re going to stitch the sides and the bottom and then make vertical stitches to divide the spaces for the needles. About that, before starting to divide it up, it\u2019s a good idea to take a minute to measure your own needles so that you can get the various sizes of the pockets right.<\/span>
Now let\u2019s move onto the pockets for the sewing needles, which in both cases we\u2019re going to use PVC, cutting out a 16cm square at an angle and a 10×16 cm rectangle.<\/span>
We\u2019re going to hem the square, which is going to be the circular needle holder, at the top and stitch the remaining sides onto our base at a distance of about 2cm from the knitting needle holder and from the bottom.<\/span>
<\/p>

For the sewing needle holder we\u2019re going to hem it at the top and proceed as we did for the knitting needle holder and position it directly above the other PVC pocket.<\/span>
Once we\u2019ve finished sewing all the pockets we\u2019re going to put plenty of glue on the back of the base of the needle case and stick on the other fabric rectangle that was previously cut and then wait a few minutes for the glue to set.<\/span>
Now cut two strips of about 55cm of Deluxe Faux Leather Ribbon col. Honolulu h 2.5cm to make the strings that you need to close up the knitting needle case.<\/span>
<\/p>Place them in the middle on the edge of the needle case and sew them on.<\/span>
Now all you need to do is hem all around the entire needle case and you\u2019re done!<\/span>
