Molla Mills<\/b> has made the crochet Ketju blanket exclusively for us, it\u2019s exquisite and perfect for snuggling up with in the cold winter months. The pattern has got an intermediate difficulty level with which you\u2019ll end up with a super warm, thick and soft to the touch. It\u2019ll be like your security blanket that you\u2019ll never want to part with! The chosen yarn for this small woollen piece of art is our baby alpaca and merino, Sierra. Molla Mills chose two pale colours to create an elegant contrast which is suitable for anywhere. However, you can choose whichever combination you want from our shop.<\/span><\/p>

Just like the tote bag Kaakeli, Ketju has been inspired by Morocco. From its colours and vibe to the layout. Molla Mills would like to point out an important aspect of Ketju: given the lightness of the yarn, this blanket could easily become a warm scarf, all you have to do is reduce the pattern, by removing the repetitions of the chart.<\/span><\/p>

Let\u2019s get started. However, first of all I\u2019d just like to say that the amazing outcome and softness of the blanket are a guarantee, not only by Molla Mill\u2019s skillful hand, but also the Sierra yarn that was chosen precisely for its softness and ability to give out heat.<\/span>

METHOD
<\/b><\/span>Work the poster in back and forth with two-color tapestry technique in double crochet stitches. In two-color tapestry technique always change the color of the yarn in the last yarn over of the stitch. Carry the other yarns inside the stitches throughout the work. When working in back and forth, always leave the carry-on yarns one stitch from the end in each row. Make sure yarn loops are all in the backside of the work.<\/span><\/p>

<\/p>

Row 1:<\/b> chain 166 stitches with Milk yarn to begin, work the first double crochet in the fourth chain from the hook. Work 18 double crochet, carry the other yarns in the work, change to Lace yarn in the last yarn over. Work 6 dc and change to white yarn. Work 8 double crochet, change to Lace yarn, work 6 double crochet. Change to Milk yarn and work 32 stiches, change to Lace yarn and work 6 double crochet. Follow the pattern from the chart, the pattern repeat is 52 double crochet.<\/span><\/p>

Rows 2 – 108<\/b>: chain 3 to start every round, follow the pattern from the chart. Work a row of single crochet stitches with Milk yarn in both edges. Cut yarns and weave in ends.<\/span><\/p>
