The double tunisian simple stitch is a perfect knit stitch for two-tones, in other words using two different coloured yarns, as it enhances the texture of the finished piece. As a matter of fact, the double tunisian simple stitch is made up of loads of small spears that are interlaced with each other making the colour contrast even more evident in their harmonious pattern. This knit stitch is ideal for a blanket, a scarf or a beret. <\/span>We\u2019ve chosen our <\/span>Sierra yarn in the colours Gloss and Lace<\/span><\/strong> for the Double Tunisian Simple stitch. The outcome is a subtle yet effective ton sur ton.<\/span><\/p>

How to do the double tunisian simple stitch<\/h2>\n

MATERIALS
<\/span><\/strong>Sierra yarn<\/span><\/b><\/a> col. Gloss 100 g \/ 3.5 oz
<\/span>Sierra yarn<\/b><\/span> col. Lace 100 g \/ 3.5 oz<\/span>
Crochet hook<\/b><\/span> n\u00b0 7 EU \/ L-11 US<\/span><\/p>

METHOD
<\/span><\/b>Note<\/b>: <\/span>you can start the work without the set-up round. If this is the case do the row 1 <\/span>in the foundation chains, making sure you do the forward pass of the row 1 <\/span>and the return pass of the row 2 <\/span>with the colour A, the return pass of the row 14 <\/span>and the forward pass of the row 2 <\/span>with the colour B. Make the number of desired chains with colour A.<\/span><\/p>

Set-up row
<\/span><\/strong>Forward pass<\/b>:<\/span> skip the last chain done, * insert the hook into the next chain, yarn over and come out of the chain leaving the loop on the hook *, repeat from * to * to the end of the round. Don\u2019t turn the work over.
<\/span>Return pass:<\/span><\/strong> with the colour B, yarn over and bind off 1 loop on the hook, * yarn over and bind off 2 loops together *, repeat from * to * to the end of the row. Don\u2019t turn the work over.<\/span><\/p>

Row 1
<\/b><\/span>Forward pass:<\/span><\/strong> with the colour B, chain 1, double crochet 1 into each following stitch, going into the vertical thread of the stitch, double crochet 1 in the edge stitch. Don\u2019t turn the work over.
<\/span>Return pass:<\/span><\/strong> with the colour A, as per the set-up round.<\/span><\/p>

Row 2
<\/b><\/span>Forward pass:<\/span><\/strong> with the colour A, as per forward pass of the row 1<\/span>.
<\/span>Return pass:<\/span><\/strong> with the colour B, as per the set-up round.<\/span><\/p>

Row 3<\/b>: repeat always from row 1<\/span> until you get the desired length.<\/span><\/p>

<\/p>

Start with the part that comes\nbefore the first asterisk, repeat from * to * for all the round and finish off\nwith the part that comes after the 2<\/span>nd<\/span><\/sup> asterisk.<\/span><\/p>
