Created in our workshop after years of testing and selecting to be able to offer a perfect product to felt enthusiasts of both needle and wet felting.<\/span><\/p>\n<br><br>\n<p class=\"giustificato wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">The outcome is excellent. So perfect that the <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dhgshop.performize.io\/item-fibers-carded-batts-maori-wool_0_0_1_2_14.php\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">carded wool blend \u201cMaori\u201d<\/span><\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"> quickly became the first choice by everyone who works with handmade felt and hand spinning too. Its versatility is one of the reasons why we decided to take on a new challenge, which is a collaboration with Darius Dolatyari and C\u00e9lia Boulesteix. Two French artists who graduated from the Fashion Academy.<\/span><\/p>\n<br><br>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"text-align: center; \">The carded wool &#8220;Maori&#8221; and Moving Landscape<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"giustificato wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Darius and C\u00e9lia were guests at Lottozero, an active textile research lab based\nin Prato, for a residency. During their stay they worked hard on Moving\nLandscape, a project that\u2019s as engaging as it\u2019s poetic. It\u2019s a 24 sq. m panel,\nmade with the wet felting technique, and 5 customs also in felt. Inspired by Greek\nmythology, that Darius experienced first- hand whilst on holiday in Greece. Images\nand feelings, which he calls \u2018body landscape\u2019, related to nature: the way we\nwalk, breathe and dance is influenced by the landscape around us and the body is\nlike fabric too: its fibres move creating corners, curves, lights and shadows. The\naim of the project is to bring the felt to life through the body and make it\nbecome a living, malleable tool.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"text-align: center; \">Moving Landscape to be a performance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"giustificato wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">It was great to be involved in this ambitious and powerful project and to\nsee our carded wool turned into such exciting and evocative art. Thanks so much\nDarius and C\u00e9lia for letting us be part of it.
