Autumn will soon be upon us and that\u2019s why today we\u2019ve decided to learn how to do a knit stitch with a slightly openwork weft, the herringbone in relief stitch. <\/span>Hokusai<\/span><\/strong> is the yarn that has been used, glossy and lightweight it\u2019s perfect for the milder temperatures.<\/span><\/p>

How to crochet the herringbone in relief stitch<\/h2>

MATERIALS<\/span>
Hokusai Yarn<\/span><\/a><\/strong> col. Natural White 100 g \/ 3.5 oz<\/span>
Crochet hook<\/span><\/strong> n\u00b0 6 EU \/ 10 US<\/span><\/p>


<\/p>

METHOD<\/span><\/strong>
It\u2019s done on a number of foundation chains in multiples of 16 + 17.<\/span><\/p>

Row 1:<\/span><\/strong> chain 3, skip 4 chains from the hook 2 double open crochet and then closed together (=in each of the 2 following chains double open crochet 1 and then close them together), * + 1 double crochet in each of the 5 following chains, in the following chain: 2 double crochet, chain 2 and 2 double crochet, 1 double crochet in each of the following 5 chains +, 5 double open crochet and then closed together (=in each of the 5 following chains double open crochet 1 and then close them together) *, always repeat from * to * until 14 chains to the end of the round, work from + to +, 3 double open crochet and then closed together (= in each of the last 3 following chains work 1 double open crochet and then close them together)<\/span>
row 2:<\/span><\/strong> chain 3, 2 relief double open crochet worked at back and then closed together (=around each of the following 2 stitches work 1 relief double crochet worked at back then close them together), + 1 relief double crochet worked at front around each of the 5 following stitches, in the arch work: 2 double crochets, chain 2 and 2 double crochets; 1 relief double crochet worked at front around each of the following 5 stitches +, * 5 relief double open crochet worked at back and then close them together (= around each of the 5 following stitches work 1 relief double open crochet and then close them together), work from + to + *, finish off with 3 relief double open crochet worked at back and then closed together (=around each of the last 3 stitches work 1 relief double open crochet worked at back and then close them together)<\/span>
