She has an active and vivid imagination and she has managed to find her own distinct and unique style. A rare thing indeed.<\/span><\/p><br><br><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Sara has chosen to work with our <b><a href=\"https:\/\/dhgshop.performize.io\/item-fibers-carded-batts-bergschaf-wool_0_0_1_2_13.php\" target=\"_blank\">carded Bergschaf wool<\/a><\/b> and by using the needle felt technique has created a trio of smalll robots. Ready to assist those who ask for their help!&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Paco n.5, Sasha e Plyro-21.<\/span><\/p><br><br><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">&#65279;Let&#8217;s get to know better the story that&#8217;s been completely Made In Italy.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><b>Where does the name Com\u00ec<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><b> Lab come from?<br><\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">I wanted a name that contained a small piece of me, so I just took a few letters of my surname which combined together to form, in my opinion, two syllables with a cheerful sound!<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><b>Tell me a little bit about your creative journey. How is it that you came to create your felt toys?<br><\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">My creative journey began at school: I attended the Institute of Art in the section of Weaving. In those years I developed an interest in textile materials, from their design to the practice of weaving on a loom. I then continued my studies at the Academy of Fine Arts, graduating in painting. I proceeded to put these experiences into practice, sewing the most disparate materials such as card and felt. Making felt toys for me was a natural progression, a union if you will, of all my skills and passions. When I started creating these toys, I inevitably thought of Schulz&#8217;s Peanuts, Watterson&#8217;s Calvin &#038; Hobbes, and Jim Henson&#8217;s Muppets show that I watched on TV as a child.<\/span><\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dhgshop.performize.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/feltro-ad-ago-robottini.jpg\" style=\"width: 100%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><br><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><b>What do you like to communicate or convey with your puppets, what do they represent for you?<br><\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">I want them to convey to people the same lightness and joy that I experience every time I make them. They represent an ongoing discovery, they&#8217;re a way to test myself, and to experiment and allow the fabrics and fibers to inspire the shapes and characters to create.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><b>Why use needle felt as a creative medium, what extra does it give you compared to other materials?<br><\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">I have always liked its non-woven fabric and the many different ways it can be used. In my work I like to use it to accurately reproduce a design, image, or an idea without shortcuts and limitations. Needle felting is a slow and meticulous process; this gives me the ability to manipulate and control the project easily.<\/span><\/p><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/dhgshop.performize.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/feltroad-ago-robottini.jpg\" style=\"width: 100%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><br><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><b>What are your dreams or aspirations?<br><\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">To make a stop motion animation using some of my felt toys!<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\"><b>What do you think the children of today need to stimulate their imagination?<br><\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Children should be left free to discover and to understand which are the creative tools that will allow them to express their own creativity.
