The crochet stone tile stitch<\/b> is one of our favourite stitches because it reminds us of the designs of some Sicilian majolica, where the straight lines are blended with curves. Also where the colors are bright and bold. It’s for this reason that we have chosen our Cleopatra yarn, a cotton and linen blend, in the <\/span>color of<\/span> Citron. However, on the shop the entire collection offers real gems for those who are attentive and passionate about the quality and beauty of colors.<\/span>

Tutorial: how to crochet the stone tile stitch<\/h2>

MATERIALS<\/span><\/b>
Cleopatra yarn<\/a><\/b> col. Citron 100 g \/ 3.5 oz<\/span>
Crochet hook n\u00b0 5 EU \/ H-8 US<\/span><\/p>

MEHTOD<\/b><\/span><\/p>

We proceed on a number of foundation chains in multiples of 8 + 6.<\/span>
<\/p>

Row 1 is on the opposite side of the project<\/b>: chain 1, miss 2 chains staring from the hook, 1 single crochet in each following chain.<\/span><\/p>

From row 2 to <\/b>5<\/b>: chain 1, single crochet <\/span>1<\/span> on each stitch of the previous row.<\/span><\/p>

Row <\/b>6<\/b>: chain1, <\/span>single crochet <\/span>1 on the following stitch, *long double crochet 1 (insert the hook in the stitch corresponding to the following stitch, but of row 4 below, 1 yarn over needle on the hook, remove the buttonhole and pull it until the crochet stitch, with 1 yarn over needle close a buttonhole, insert the hook again in the same preceding stitch , <\/span>1 yarn over needle<\/span>, extract the buttonhole and stretch it, with 1 yarn over needle close the 3 <\/span>buttonholes <\/span>on the hook, skip the stitch corresponding from previous row)*, always repeat from * to * and finish with 1 single crochet one each of the last 2 stitches.<\/span><\/p>

From row 7 to<\/b> 9<\/b>: <\/span>chain 1, single crochet <\/span>1<\/span> on each stitch of the previous row.<\/span><\/p>

Row <\/b>10<\/b>: <\/span>chain1, <\/span>single crochet <\/span>1<\/span> on the following stitch<\/span>, *<\/span>long double crochet 1<\/span> in each of the following 2 stitches, <\/span>double crochet 1<\/span> in each of the following 6 stitches<\/span>*, <\/span>finish with<\/span> <\/span>long double crochet 1<\/span> <\/span>in each of the following 2 stitches<\/span>, <\/span>1 single crochet one each of the last 2 stitches<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>

From row 11 to<\/b> 13<\/b>: <\/span>chain 1, single crochet <\/span>1<\/span> on each stitch of the previous row.<\/span><\/p>

Row <\/b>14<\/b>: <\/span>chain1, <\/span>single crochet <\/span>1<\/span> on the following stitch<\/span>, *<\/span>long double crochet 1<\/span>*, <\/span>always repeat from * to *<\/span> and <\/span>finish with 1 single crochet one each of the last 2 stitches<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>

From row 15 to 17<\/b>: <\/span>chain 1, single crochet <\/span>1<\/span> on each stitch of the previous row.<\/span><\/p>

Row <\/b>18<\/b>: <\/span>chain1, <\/span>single crochet <\/span>1<\/span> on the following stitch<\/span>, *<\/span>double crochet 1<\/span> <\/span>in each of the following 4 stitches<\/span>, <\/span>long double crochet 1<\/span> <\/span>in each of the following 2 stitches<\/span>, <\/span>double crochet 1<\/span> <\/span>in each of the successive 4 stitches<\/span>*, <\/span>1 single crochet one each of the last 4 stitches<\/span>
Row <\/b>19<\/b>: repeat from row 3.<\/span><\/p>
