We are fond of it because the pattern is quite simple to knit and the final effect is really nice. Perfect for a Jumper or maybe a blanket. The yarn chosen for this project is Hokusai, in the <\/span>colour of<\/span> Saffron.<\/span>

Tutorial: how to knit the pinched bars stitch<\/h2>

MATERIALI<\/span><\/b>
Hokusai yarn<\/a><\/b> col. Saffron100 g \/ 3.5 oz<\/span>
Knitting needles n\u00b0 6 EU \/ 10 US<\/span><\/p>

METHOD<\/span><\/b><\/p>

We work off foundations stitches in multiples of 18 + 9.<\/span><\/p>

Row 1<\/b>: *knit 9, purl 9*, always repeat from * to * and finish by knitting 9<\/span>
row 2 and a even rows<\/b>: knit the stitches as they appear, right sides together, wrong sides together<\/span>
row <\/b>3 and 5<\/b>: knit all stitches<\/span>
row <\/b>7<\/b>: knit as instructed in row 1<\/span>
row <\/b>9<\/b>: *knit 13, 1 pattern, knit 4*, <\/span>knit 9 to finish<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>

To knit a pattern<\/b>: insert the right needle in the corresponding stitch of the ninth row below, that is, under the rib of the purl stitch, 1 yarn over <\/span>the right<\/span> <\/span>needle<\/span> <\/span>and extract the buttonhole, pass the buttonhole on the left needle and knit it together with the following stitch.<\/span><\/p>

row <\/b>11<\/b>: *purl 9, knit 9*, purl 9 to finish<\/span>
row <\/b>13 and 15<\/b>: knit the stitches<\/span>
row <\/b>17<\/b>: <\/span>knit as instructed in row<\/span> 11<\/span>
row <\/b>19<\/b>: *knit 4, 1 pattern, knit 13*, knit 4 to finish, 1 pattern, knit 4.<\/span>
row <\/b>21<\/b>: repeat from row 1.<\/span><\/p>

Repeat from * to * for the entire row and finish with the stitches that follow the second *. In the even rows, not shown on the diagram, <\/span>knit the stitches as they appear, right sides together, wrong sides together.<\/span><\/p>
