Do you too want to recreate this magnificent team of carefree and greedy caterpillars? You can do so by learning today’s stitch with us, namely, the caterpillar stitch.<\/span><\/p>

The yarn selected for this stitch is our pure cotton <\/span>Sailorman<\/span> <\/span>tape. Head over to the store and browse for the colour that captures your imagination. We opted for the <\/span>nuance of<\/span> saffron.<\/span><\/p>

We work off 14 base stitches.<\/span><\/p>

Reverse stocking stitch stitches on the sides of the pattern are not represented on the diagram and are not indicated in the explanation.<\/span>
<\/p>

Row 1<\/b>: We knit on the wrong side of the project, knit 4, purl 6, <\/span>knit 4<\/span>.<\/span>
row 2<\/b>: purl 4, knit 6, <\/span>purl 4<\/span>
row <\/b>3 and in the following uneven <\/b><\/span>rows<\/b>: <\/span>purl 2, 4 cross stitches on the right, knit 2, <\/span>4 cross stitches on the left<\/span>, purl 2.<\/span><\/p>

To execute 4 cross stitches on the left<\/span><\/b>: keep\n2 open stitches in front, purl 2, knit the 2 open stitches.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

To execute 4 cross stitches on the right<\/span><\/b>: keep\n2 open stitches behind, knit 2, knit the 2 open stitches.<\/span><\/span><\/p>
