We like this men’s sweater because it is somewhat tight-fitting, with wide ribbed sleeves that also double-up as cuffs and with an unusually generous collar for a male garment. These features make it a classic sweater, but with a modern touch. We like to see men wearing out-of-the-ordinary clothing. To add yet another curious, but very cute detail, we have chosen the Cyrcus yarn in the <\/span>colour of H<\/span>orizon. This yarn has a blue base with light flames in bright colours, including yellow and pink. For us it is an amazing contrast! On the store, however, you will find other variants of our Cyrcus in alpaca and merino.<\/span><\/p>

How to knit the men’s sweater<\/h2>

MATERIALS<\/span><\/b>
Cyrcus yarn<\/a><\/b> col. Horizon100 g \/ 3.5 oz<\/span>
Needles n\u00b0 5 EU \/ 8 US
<\/span>Needles <\/span>n\u00b0 7 EU<\/span><\/p>

GAUGE<\/span><\/b>
10 cm x 10 cm \/ 4″ x 4″<\/span>
14 stitches x 18 rounds<\/span><\/p>

STITCHES USED<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>

Rib 2\/2<\/u>:
<\/span>knit 2 and purl 2. On the next round, the stitches are worked as they appear
<\/span>Stockinette stitch:
<\/u>knit 1 row and purl 1 row
<\/span>Raglan decrease:
<\/u>at the beginning of the round knit 2, 1 simple stitch passed over left, at the end of the round knit on the last 4 stitches, 1 <\/span>simple stitch passed over <\/span>right and 2 knit stitches.<\/span><\/p>

Change needle size to 7 EU and continue in stockinette stitch, effectuating 8 increases on the first row.<\/span><\/p>

How to knit the sleeves of the men’s sweater<\/h3>

Cast on 36 stitches with size 5 EU \/ 8 US needles and knit 2\/2 rib for 8 cm \/ 3.1 “.<\/span><\/p>

Change needles to <\/span>n\u00b0 7 EU<\/span> and continue as always with 2\/2 rib. Knit 1 increase on each side every 6 rounds 8 times.<\/span><\/p>

How to assemble the men’s sweater<\/h3>

First sew the sides, then the sleeves.<\/span><\/p>

Attach a sleeve to the body of the sweater. The other sleeve is to be sewn on one side. One side is left open so that you can easily pick up all the stitches to knit the edge of the neckline. The stitches picked up are knitted with needles No. 5 EU \/ 8 US and in 2\/2 rib for 2.5 cm \/ 1 “.<\/span><\/p>
