Here we are with another knit stitch to learn together. It’s called the fabric stitch and we like it because it’s so compact that it looks like a piece of fabric woven with a Jacquard loom. We envisage it being perfect for a summer tank top to wear over a skirt, perhaps full-length. However, it could also be an idea to make a clutch, taking care of lining it to make it more stable.<\/span><\/p>

The yarn chosen for this stitch is Cleopatra. In cotton and linen, it\u2019s very light. On our store you can find all the colours of the collections. Here we have opted for the shade of Dusk.<\/span><\/p>

Tutorial: how to crochet the fabric stitch<\/h2>

MATERIALS

Crochet hook n\u00b0 4 EU \/ G-6 US<\/span><\/p>

METHOD<\/span><\/b><\/p>

We work off a number of base chain stitches in multiples of 4 + 1.<\/span><\/p>

Row 1<\/span><\/b>: chain 1, skip 2 chains from hook, 1 sc in each following chains<\/span>
row 2<\/span><\/b>: 3 chain stitches, 1 dc on the point at the base of the 3 chain stitches, skip 1 stitch, *1 sc on the next stitch, skip 1 stitch, 3 dc on the next stitch, skip 1 stitch*, always repeat from * a * and finish with 1 sc in the 3rd last stitch, skip 1 stitch, 2 sc in the initial stitch of the previous row<\/span>
row 3<\/span><\/b>: chain 1, 3 dc in front around the next sc, *1 sc on the central dc of the 3 worked on the same point, 3 dc in front around the next sc*, 1 sc on the starting point of the previous line<\/span>
row 4<\/span><\/b>: chain 3, 1 dc on the stitch at the base of the 3 chain stitches, *skip 1 double crochet, 1 sc on the next stitch, 3 dc in front around the next sc*, skip 1 double crochet, 1 sc on the next stitch, 2 dc on the starting stitch of the previous row<\/span>
row 5<\/span><\/b>: repeat from row 3.<\/span><\/p>

Start with the part before the first *, repeat from * to * for the entire the row and finish with the part after the second *.<\/span><\/p>
