Tutorial: how to make a simple crochet bag<\/span><\/b><\/h2>

How to make a crochet summer bag<\/h3>

Combine the Kyoto yarn with the Cozy and gently cast on 33 chain stitches.<\/span><\/p>

Row 1<\/span><\/b>: from the second chain of the hook work a single crochet in each chain stitch until the end [32 single crochets]<\/span>
row 2<\/span><\/b>: work 2 chains (they don\u2019t count as a stitch from here on), turn the piece over and work a half double crochet in every single crochet of the previous row until the end of the row [32 single crochets]<\/span>
row 3<\/span><\/b>: chain 1 (doesn\u2019t count as a stitch from here on), turn the work over, work a single crochet in each half double crochet of the previous row until the end of the row [32 half double crochets]<\/span>
from row 3 to row 53<\/span><\/b>: repeat rows 2 and 3.<\/span><\/p>

Cut and fasten all strings inside the bag.<\/span><\/p>

Looking at the right side of the piece, fold the strip in half, pin it and sew with the needle and thread along the sides. For a more precise and clean finish, match the lines along the sides of the bag.<\/span><\/p>

How to crochet the handles of the summer bag<\/h3>

The handles are worked in rows, without the chain to turn.<\/span><\/p>

Cast on 3 chains.<\/span><\/p>

Row 1<\/span><\/b>: work a single crochet in the second chain from the hook and in the next chain, turn the piece over [2 single crochets]<\/span>
row 2<\/span><\/b>: work a single crochet in every single crochet of the previous row [2 single crochets]
from row 2 to row 22<\/b>: repeat row 2.<\/span><\/p>

Position the bag with the opening facing up, measure 10cm \/ 4″ from the right side and sew on one side of the handle with a needle and thread. Measure 10cm \/ 4″ from the left side and sew on the other side of the handle.<\/span><\/p>

Turn the bag over to the opposite side and sew the second handle as done for the first.<\/span><\/p>

Cut and fasten all strings inside the bag.<\/span><\/p>
