Where does recycled wool felt come from?<\/h2>

It is a felt that comes from old clothing, which first gets selected, divided, and sorted based on composition, quality, and colour. Subsequently, the fibres undergo various production processes, including carbonisation, and shredding. At this point, the shredded monochromatic fibers pass through machines that process the fibers preparing them to be carded, needling, and heat setting. After completing this last step, the final result will be a piece of monochromatic recycled wool felt.<\/span><\/p>

Regenerated wool felt: recycling and eco-sustainability<\/h3>

Are you wondering how recycled felt is eco-sustainable? Well, let’s begin with the first step, that is, the division of jumpers by colour. This simple operation ensures that the fibre is not re-dyed to give rise to regenerated felt. Therefore, no further energy will be used to activate the dyeing process machinery, but above all, no additional water will be wasted.<\/span><\/p>

Another point in favour of regenerated wool felt is recycling. The clothes that are torn are used garments, in other words, at the end of their life cycle and would normally be incinerated. We now return to eco-sustainability, because everything that is incinerated produces CO2 emissions that are harmful to our planet, but even in this case, the recycled wool felt is super virtuous. In Addition, thanks to the recycling and transformation of used clothing into regenerated felt it begins a new life cycle of the product.<\/span><\/p>
