Wrist bags are a must-have. Small and\neasy to carry, they represent the epitome of practicality. The only thing to keep\nin mind is that, as they are a compact bag, you will only have room for the essentials.\nIt’s a bit like the Marie Kondo of bags!<\/span><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>

Here we have created a bag perfect for\nboth the daytime and the evening. We have combined two of our most popular\nyarns: Kyoto, in recycled cotton and polyester and with super refined touches\nof colour, and Stromboli, a pure cotton tape. The colour combinations are\nendless because on the store you can find many shades of both Kyoto and\nStromboli.<\/span><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>

The wrist bag will turn out like the\nphotos only if you use our yarns.<\/span><\/o_p><\/span><\/p>

Tutorial: how to make a crochet wrist bag<\/h2>

MATERIALS
<\/b><\/span>Kyoto yarn<\/a><\/b> col. Kimono 150 g \/ 5.3 oz<\/span>
Stromboli yarn<\/a><\/b> col. Cobalt 200 g \/ 7 oz<\/span>
Crochet hooks n\u00b0 2 EU \/ B-1 US<\/span>
3 spiral stitch markers<\/span>
Wool needle<\/span><\/p>

GAUGE
<\/b><\/span>11 single crochets = 5 cm \/ 2″ worked with the tapestry crochet technique.<\/span><\/p>

How to make the crochet bag<\/h3>

With the Kyoto yarn, loosely cast on 60 chains.<\/span><\/p>

Round 1 (right side)<\/span><\/b>: insert Stromboli and continue working with Kyoto by passing the ribbon inside the stitches, work 2 single crochets in the second chain stitch from the hook, 1 single crochet in each chain until the penultimate chain, 4 single crochets in the last chain, rotate the work 90\u00b0 anti-clockwise and continue working on the opposite side of the chains, 1 single crochet in each chain up to the second starting chain, 2 single crochets in the first starting chain. [124 single crochets]<\/span><\/p>

Do not bind off the round with the slip stitch but continue to work in a spiral, place a stitch marker in the last stitch of the round and move it to the corresponding stitch at each round (it serves to mark the end of the round).<\/span><\/p>

From round 2 to round 33<\/span><\/b>: continue working with Kyoto by passing the Stromboli yarn inside the stitches, 1 single crochet in each stitch from the previous round. [124 single crochets]<\/span><\/p>

Cut the threads.<\/span><\/p>

How to crochet the short strap of the wrist bag<\/h3>

With Kyoto, leave a long portion and loosely start 14 chains.<\/span><\/p>

Row 1<\/span><\/b>: from the second chain on the hook work 1 single crochet in each chain [14 single crochets]<\/span>
row 2<\/span><\/b>: 1 chain (a stitch does not count as 1 from here on), turn, work a single crochet in each stitch of the previous row until the end of the row [14 single crochets]<\/span>
from row 3 to row 31<\/span><\/b>: repeat row 2.<\/span><\/p>

Cut the yarn leaving a long portion for sewing.<\/span><\/p>

How to crochet the long strap of the wrist bag<\/h3>

Repeat rows 1 and 2 from the short handle and then continue with the following process.<\/span><\/p>

From row 3 to row 62<\/span><\/b>: repeat row 2 from the short handle.<\/span><\/p>

Cut the thread leaving a long portion for sewing.<\/span><\/p>

Lay the bag out on the work surface and flatten it, mark the sides where the fold is formed with two stitch markers (62 single crochets between each stitch marker).<\/span><\/p>

With the yarn left over when casting on and closing the handles, sew them to the bag with 4 stitches away from the stitch markers.<\/span><\/p>

Finishes to the wrist bag<\/h4>

With Kyoto work a single crochet border around the straps and the bag.<\/span><\/p>

Cut and fasten all the threads inside the bag.<\/span><\/p>

Remove the stitch markers.<\/span><\/p>
