How to assemble and finish the shorts<\/h4>

Join the two back pieces at the center, then the two front pieces. Close the sides. For the waistband, starting and ending at the side seam, pick up an even number of stitches along the top edge of the front and back, and work 1\/1 ribbing for 24 rows, about 9 cm \/ 3.5″. Bind off. Sew the open side of the waistband using mattress stitch so the seam is invisible.<\/span><\/p>
