All this beauty is made possible by Cumbria, an alpaca yarn spun with three plies: two ultra-thin strands form the core, while a third, super-fine and fluffy strand adds volume, creating a texture as airy as cotton candy. The finished fabric will have a wonderfully irregular texture.<\/span><\/p>

Row 1<\/span><\/b>: (1 purl, 1 knit) repeat until the last stitch, purl the last stitch<\/span>
row 2<\/span><\/b>: knit the first stitch, then (1 purl, 1 knit) repeat to the end of the row.<\/span><\/p>

These two rows establish the 1\/1 rib pattern for the lower border. Repeat them 2 more times for a total of 6 rows, reaching a height of 3 cm \/ 1.2″.<\/span><\/p>

Switch to stockinette stitch and continue for 64 (66, 68) rows, reaching 41 (42, 43) cm \/ 16.1″ (16.5″, 17″) in total length.<\/span><\/p>

Shaping the Armholes<\/span>
Row 71 (73, 75)<\/span><\/b>: bind off 4 stitches at the beginning, work in elongated stitch to the last 4 stitches, bind off the last 4 stitches<\/span>
