Each needle is designed to transform textile fibers (including vegan fibers) into a firm, stable, sculptural material without the use of water or soap. Their steel structure features a thin tip and small <strong data-start=\"793\" data-end=\"823\">micro-barbs along the shaft<\/strong>, elements that allow them to &#8220;hook&#8221; the wool fibers during vertical movement. With each insertion into the fiber cluster, the needle drags and weaves the individual fibers together, causing the material to gradually compact until it stabilizes.
