Today we are sharing a project that everyone can make. Even a beginner will manage it easily because the crochet stitches used are the basic ones, chain stitch and single crochet. It is a rectangular catchall tray that you can make in any size you like, larger or smaller. Catchall trays are very handy for keeping house keys, bills, a pack of candies, or anything you want to find quickly during the day neatly in one place. This catchall can also double as a table centerpiece. What makes it unique is Juta yarn, made from three strands of raw jute combined with one strand of printed cotton. The print is intentionally “imperfect” so that each piece has a unique, one-of-a-kind final look.
Ready to start the pattern.

INSTRUCTIONS
The catchall trays are worked flat and, at the end of the last row, finished by working in the round all around the edge.

For the large catchall tray, with crochet hook n° 4 EU / G-6 US and col. Tramonto, chain 35 stitches and work in fantasy single crochet stitch for 45 rows, measuring 42 cm / 16.5″. Now, without cutting the yarn, for the edging continue around all 4 sides in single crochet: work 1 single crochet in each single crochet when working along the short sides, work 1 single crochet in each vertical bar of the single crochet when working along the long sides, and work 2 single crochets in each corner to round it; at the end, close with 1 slip stitch in the first single crochet of the edging. Cut the yarn and weave in the end.

For the small catchall tray, with crochet hook n° 4 EU / G-6 US and col. Isola, chain 25 stitches and work in fantasy single crochet stitch for 34 rows, measuring 32 cm / 12.6″. Now, without cutting the yarn, for the edging continue around all 4 sides in single crochet as described for the large catchall tray. Cut the yarn and weave in the end.
To shape the catchall trays, following the photo, fold the 4 corners of each rectangle slightly towards the inside and secure them with the tapestry needle and matching yarn.
