Lagom is a yarn that interprets balance as a construction principle: a studied blend of fibers that combines sustainability, strength and practicality of use. Its composition, based mainly on regenerated wool, is enhanced by a technical component that improves stability and durability, making it a reliable material for everyday work and projects intended for long-term use. The name recalls precisely the Nordic concept of measure and harmony: not too much, not too little, but exactly what is needed. A functional, concrete and contemporary yarn designed for those seeking performance and environmental responsibility in one. And Nordic is also its hand, reminiscent of Shetland wool, slightly rough. But after the first few washes it softens without losing its rustic soul.

For more than a century, regenerated fibers have been one of the symbols of our textile district. Prato's famous regenerate comes from the production of recycled wool through cenciaioleria, the ancient art of selecting, recovering and transforming textile scraps and used clothing. What was initially a system dictated by economic necessity proved, over time, to be a genuine forerunner of thecircular economy: large-scale textile recycling was a reality in Prato long before sustainability became a shared global value. Today the district is recognized as one of the world's leading hubs for textile recycling, thanks to advanced technologies that carry on the regenerated tradition in a modern, highly specialized key. And it is no longer just wool that is regenerated: even fine fibers such as cashmere can be reborn. Lagom was born from these very fibers, because beauty and sustainability can go hand in hand.

Lagom is worked with knitting needles and crochet hook of medium thickness.

With knitting needles: can be worked in a plain knit but also with all other knits.

Withcrochet: the low knit is used to achieve a compact result but, given the smoothness of the yarn, all other knits can be easily worked as well.

Tips for working and care.

Our colors generally have high light fastness and wash fastness. Exceptions are fluorescent colors, which have low light fastness and may release color in the presence of alkaline or harsh soaps and with prolonged washing. The same applies to dark, bright colors. In all these cases, it is essential to test a small sample before starting the project, especially if these materials are combined with raw or light-colored fibers. In any case, it is always a good idea to dry artifacts away from direct sunlight, preferably in semi-shade.

A practical tip: Buying balls or spools of different baths can cause what is known as the barred effect: subtle variations in shade that seem invisible when comparing balls and spools, but become apparent once worked. Therefore, always be sure to buy some yarn in excess of what is needed for your project. We will be sure to send you spools and balls of the same lot.
