Designed to accompany creativity all year round, Rain or Shine is a versatile and reliable yarn, ideal for making garments and accessories to be worn in all seasons. Its balanced structure and pleasant hand make it suitable for both light work for spring and summer and more enveloping projects for the cooler months.
The name recalls precisely this ability to adapt to every climate and creative need, offering comfort and practicality in every situation. Since it is a superwash yarn, it is easy to wash and simple to maintain over time, a feature particularly appreciated for everyday garments. Due to its softness and practical handling, it is also suitable for creations dedicated to young children, such as accessories and children’s garments.

The wool comes from selected farms in South America, particularly Argentina, Uruguay and Chile: regions with a long tradition in sheep farming and high quality standards in textile fiber production. It is then processed in Europe.
Our merino wool is mulesing-free, meaning it comes from farms that do not practice mulesing, a surgical procedure used in some parts of the world to prevent parasitic infestations in sheep. The choice to use wool from supply chains that exclude this practice reflects our commitment to animal welfare and more responsible farm management.
Rain or shine is a 4-ply made of very soft extra fine superwash merino wool. It is smooth, compact, easy to work with and very flowing, which is why it is really the ideal yarn for beginners.
It can be worked with medium-thickness needles and crochet hooks and is also very suitable for weaving, both warp and weft, tufting and punchneedle.
With needles: perfect for both shirred knitting and all other knitting, both pierced and raised patterns. Also very suitable for braids and Irish Aran patterns.
Withcrochet: low knit is preferred but all other knits can be worked easily as well. This yarn lends itself well to being used for loop patterns on the pierced surface of work done with other yarns.
With the loom: we worked the yarn with comb-loom 32:10 (3.2 threads/cm). It works well and is also suitable for beginners. Very soft hand is perfect for clothing and accessories. Also for newborns.
Tips for working and care.

Our colors generally have high light fastness and wash fastness. Exceptions are fluorescent colors, which have low light fastness and may release color in the presence of alkaline or harsh soaps and with prolonged washing. The same applies to dark, bright colors. In all such cases, it is essential to test a small sample before starting the project, especially if these materials are combined with raw or light-colored fibers. In any case, it is always a good idea to dry artifacts away from direct sunlight, preferably in semi-shade.
A practical tip: Buying balls or spools of different baths can cause what is known as the barred effect: subtle variations in shade that seem invisible when comparing balls and spools, but become apparent once worked. Therefore, always be sure to buy some yarn in excess of what is needed for your project. We will be sure to send you spools and balls of the same lot.
