The silk fabrics in the Rehab selection are born from the recovery and valorization of selected textile materials, transformed into new creative resources through responsible reuse processes. Lightweight, fluid and naturally luminous, silk maintains its distinctive characteristics of elegance and softness while offering a second life to existing materials. This fabric represents a perfect balance between aesthetic quality and sustainability, ideal for creative, tailoring and conscious design projects. Purchasing these materials means making a sustainable choice because this approach not only helps reduce waste but also provides an opportunity to explore new creative and sustainable combinations.

Silk is a natural protein fiber composed mainly of fibroin, characterized by continuous, smooth and naturally lustrous filaments. This structure gives the fabric a soft surface, smooth drape and good mechanical strength despite its lightness. Silk is also distinguished by its ability to absorb moisture and its cool, comfortable feel, making it one of the most valuable fibers in textiles.
Satin is a fabric characterized by a special textile weave that creates a smooth, uniform and highly lustrous surface on the straight side, while the reverse side is duller and slightly rough. This structure allows the yarns to reflect light continuously, giving the material its typical bright and elegant appearance. Satin is distinguished by its flowing drape, soft hand, and little visible weave on the surface, making it ideal for garments and applications where smoothness and sophistication are required.
Silk satin from the Rehab selection is part of the tradition of textile recovery and regeneration, a well-established practice in the Italian textile district and particularly in the Prato area. This production philosophy is based on the selection and reuse of existing materials, reducing waste and enhancing already available resources. Through this approach, the fabric maintains the typical qualities of natural silk while contributing to a more responsible and circular economy-oriented production model.
Silk satin is extremely versatile and lends itself to many creative and tailoring applications. It can be used for making textile accessories, lightweight garments, decorative inserts and creative sewing projects. Because of its lightness and ability to absorb colors, it is also suitable for dyeing and decorating techniques on fabric, as well as for craft and experimental work that enhances the fluidity and luminosity of silk.
This silk is woven and digitally printed in Italy.
Hand washing in 30° water or in a washing machine on a delicate program is recommended. It should be dried flat and ironed at medium temperature.
