Loading...Tops Alpaca Superfine represents a selection of the highest quality fiber, obtained from the finest and most regular areas of the alpaca fleece. Preparation in tops, with combed and perfectly aligned fibers, ensures continuity and control during processing, making this fiber particularly suitable for spinning, weaving and fiber art techniques that require precision and refined aesthetic performance.
Tops Alpaca Superfine is available in a range of beautiful natural colors, obtained directly from the animal’s fleece without dyeing processes. Shades range from bright whites to warm beiges, delicate browns to deep grays and deep blacks, offering an authentic and harmonious palette. This natural color variety makes it possible to work with soft and sophisticated shades, ideal for projects that enhance the purity of the fiber and the balance of the original colors.
Availability and packaging
Our superfine alpaca tops are available in 100 g, 500 g, 1 kg packages per color. Each package has a natural tolerance of ±3% and contains superfine alpaca in continuous tape. The different packages are designed for both those who need small quantities and those who need large quantities and/or want to save money. For non-ECE shipments, the packages are vacuum-packed, reducing volume and lowering shipping costs. Don’t worry: once opened, the fiber returns to its original, fluffy volume without any loss of quality.

Superfine alpaca is a fiber selection obtained from the More regular parts of the fleece. C n an average diameter generally in the superfine fiber range (about 23-26 microns), it is distinguished by its extraordinary softness, uniformity and lightness. The careful selection of superfine fibers results in a more homogeneous and controlled material, which is ideal for processing requiring precision, definition and refined aesthetic performance.
Superfine alpaca fiber comes primarily from the Andean regions of South America, particularly Peru, Bolivia, and Chile, where alpaca breeding has a tradition going back thousands of years. The animals live in high-altitude areas characterized by large temperature ranges, conditions that contribute to the development of a particularly fine and durable fleece. Baby fiber selection takes place during annual shearing, choosing the softest parts of the coat, destined for the highest quality and most valuable processing.
