Bangles, rigid circular bracelets without a clasp, have a history almost as long as humankind itself. The earliest examples date back to ancient Egypt and, in India for example, they were and still are a symbol of protection and prosperity.

Today we present our own version of bangles, fun and colorful thanks to Technicolor yarn, which combines four strands of natural jute with a chainette packed with tiny, brightly colored confetti, bringing together something raw and something super fashionable. Tutorial: how to crochet bangles

INSTRUCTIONS

The bracelets are worked in the round and folded double at the end. Replace the first stitch of each round with 1 chain stitch. Close each round with 1 slip stitch worked into the beginning chain.

For each bracelet, with crochet hook n° 5 EU / H-8 US, chain 50 stitches and join into a ring with 1 slip stitch. Work in single crochet for 24 rounds, then cut the yarn leaving a long tail. Thread the tail onto the tapestry needle, then bring the upper and lower edges of the ring together to obtain a band half the original height, and sew the edges together with small stitches; the seam will sit at the center of the inner side of the bracelet. Cut the yarn and weave in the end.
