INSTRUCTIONS

The bag is worked flat, alternating crochet and knitting. It is made in one piece, working the front and back panels at the same time, and the handles are also worked continuously in the final rows. At the end, the piece is seamed at the bottom and along the open side. Replace the first stitch of each single crochet row with 1 chain stitch.

With crochet hook n° 3 EU / D US, chain 42 stitches.

Rows 1 to 6: with crochet hook n° 3 EU / D US, work in single crochet
rows 7 and 8: with knitting needles n° 10 EU / 15 US, work rows 1 and 2 of the broomstick stitch
rows 9 to 16: repeat rows 1 to 8. Now switch back to crochet hook n° 3 EU / D US and use it to the end of the project
rows 17 to 20: work in single crochet
row 21: chain 1 (counts as 1 single crochet), work 1 single crochet in each of the next 5 stitches, chain 14 for the first handle, skip the next 9 single crochets, work 1 single crochet in each of the next 12 stitches, chain 14 for the second handle, skip the next 9 single crochets, work 1 single crochet in each of the last 6 stitches, turn
