How to crochet the mermaid stitch

The mermaid. A mythological and highly symbolic creature who bewitches sailors with her enchanting songs. She is half fish and half woman. Who wouldn’t want to have one as a friend? To listen to her amazing stories, such as when she met Columbus and his crew in the Caribbean Sea. Or when she was the favourite muse of John William Waterhouse, a Pre-Raphaelite painter.

Whilst we continue to dive through deep blue waters, hoping one day to meet one, we propose to have fun paying tribute to this wonderful creature by creating the mermaid stitch. Perfect for any garment or accessory that requires soft and sinuous lines.

The yarn we have selected for this stitch is Lincoln, in pure cotton. And the colour could be none other than our Antilles. On the shop, however, you will find many other colours, all beautiful and bright.
