How to make the back of the crochet butterfly top

Using crochet hook n° 3.5 EU / E-4 US cast on 131 chains.

Work the checkered pattern for 38 rows, reduce the pattern both at the beginning and at the end of row 18 (this is the beginning of the armhole) and of row 19. Reduce 4 squares total in the back.

How to make the front of the crochet butterfly top

Using crochet hook n° 3.5 EU / E-4 US cast on 138 chains.

Work the checkered pattern for 38 rowsreduce the pattern both at the beginning and at the end of row 18 (this is the beginning of the armhole) including rows 19, 20, 21. Reduce 8 squares total in the front. At row 20 begin to reduce too the neck reducing 2 squares at the centre of the project and continue to separately work the 2 parts reducing 1 square per part every row until row 27, for a total of 8 squares per part.

Sew the front and back together, start with the straps and continue with the sides.
