The wrist corsage is a bracelet worn especially by bridesmaids and also by American girls during prom night! Do you remember all those 80’s movies when we saw the guy who arrives at the girl’s house and puts the bouquet bracelet on her wrist and she melts with joy? Well, in this case, the corsage is just that, a small promise of love. However, there is certainly no rule on wearing it whenever you feel like it, given that it is a gorgeous accessory. You can wear it on a special evening, for a graduation party, but also an evening at the seaside.

We have created our corsage with the help of Silvia Labanti | Stamen Studio, a highly refined floral designer. The stars of this corsage are our chiffon silk ribbons and delicate fresh flowers.

Before we start, we would like to remind you that we also have a collection of chiffon crinkle ribbons. They have light ripples that make them truly particular and textured. These ribbons are also perfect for making a corsage.

Tutorial: how to make a silk ribbon corsage

MATERIALS
Chiffon 6 silk ribbon 2.5 cm wide col. Pale Apricot, Flamingo and Picnic
Fresh flowers
Cotton ribbon
Glue for fresh flowers
Small knife

PROCEDURE

Firstly, place all the chosen materials on the table. Then cut 2 pieces of silk chiffon ribbon to approximately 40 cm / 15.7″ each and glue them together in the middle. Apply glue to a piece of cotton ribbon of approximately 4 cm / 1.6″ which will serve as a support to glue the flowers to.

In our case we have a garden rose as the main flower and clematis flowers as finishing pieces.

Apply fresh flower glue to both parts that are to be glued, i.e. both on the cotton ribbon and at the base of the rose. Apply slight pressure so that the ribbon adheres to the base of the flower.

Leave to dry for a few minutes and then repeat the same step for the smaller flowers, which you will place on the sides of the rose.

Also here, let it dry for 15 minutes. After waiting 15 minutes, make sure that the floral elements are well secured to the ribbon.

Wear the bracelet and see if you need to add small flowers and leaves to fill any bare spots.

Once you have done so, your silk ribbon corsage is ready to be worn. Whether at parties, weddings, anniversaries, or even just for the pleasure of wearing it, you are sure to make a great impression.
